The city of Reynoldsburg, Ohio is located the counties of Licking, Fairfield and Franklin. The city is a suburb of Columbus and the Columbus Ohio Metropolitan Area. The city motto is “The City of Respect” and it spans 11.24 square miles. Reynolds is perhaps best known as “The Birthplace of the Tomato” because Alexander W. Livingston developed the “Paragon Tomato” in the area . The Paragon tomato was the first tomato bred for commercial use. The community now holds a Tomato Festival every August to celebrate its history and crown a new Tomato Queen. The city also annually hosts the Taste of Reynoldsburg business Expo, Christmas on the Towne and the Mount Carmel Fitness Challenge.

According to the United States Census of 2010, Reynoldsburg was home to 35,893 people spread across 14,387 households giving the city a population density of 3,216.2 residents per square mile. In 2000 the median household income was $51,108 and the median family income was $60,183. The four largest employers in the city are Limited Brands, the Reynoldsburg City School District, Victoria’s Secret Stores, and Walmart. Public education in the city is provided by the Reynolds City School District which has six elementary schools, two middle schools, two junior highs and two high schools. The city embraces green spaces with more than seven public parks, the Livingstone Community Garden Sites and the Senior Citizens Facility. Perhaps the best known park is Blacklick Woods, which includes a four-mile walking/biking trail, meadows, wildlife, a 72 hole golf course and a nature center. The second most well-known park in Reynoldsburg is Pine Quarry Park which features sprawling pine woods, a breathtaking rocky gorge, walking paths, tennis courts, sports fields, playgrounds and a skate park.
