The village of Sunbury, Ohio spans 3.30 square miles and is located in Delaware county north of Galena. The town nickname is “Memorial Town” and it is arranged in the traditional New England style featuring a town square with the historic village hall resting in the center of the village green area. Law enforcement in Sunbury is provided by the county sheriffs department. Emergency medical services are rendered by the Delaware County EMS and Fire and Rescue are provided by the B.S.T.&G. Fire District. The community is home to a American Showa manufacturing facility that manufactures parts for Honda of America. The local MacDonalds has a unique Ronald McDonald Statue and the village was chosen as the home for the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial which commemorates all soldiers missing or dead since 9/11. The city features six public parks and lands as well as the Lions building. These parks feature sport courts and fields, playgrounds, walking/biking trails and two reservoirs for fishing right in the heart of the village.
