Pickerington

Pickerington is a popular bedroom community southeast of Columbus. Incorporated in 1808, Pickerington is known as the “violet capital of Ohio”. This former farm-town is still rural enough to have some homes on 1-3 acre lots and is known to have larger-than-average home sites but is slowly changing into more of a suburban landscape with housing developments. Each neighborhood is within close proximity to an outstanding school and Pickerington sports teams are frequent state champions. Pickerington has over 150 acres of park land, including 7 distinctive parks, many that host festivals throughout the year.
